Installation Instructions: Help Me Choose the Version that is best for me

Click on the link to download the file to your PC. 

• Move the download file to a temporary directory on your PC.
• You will need to unzip the file. The zip file requires a password to unpack. A different password is used for each release. 
• Run the Setup Application.
• Follow the instructions provided in the setup procedure.

Request the Unzip Password. It will be sent automatically to your email address on record.

KNOWN BUGS: 

• install, opening velopment environment.

BUG FIXES:  

• When entering the login and serial number into the Help>About form, an error could occur that would indicate a record locking issue and would ask if you wanted to undo or save the changes. The work around is to undo the changes. This error condition is now correctly trapped.
• On the Open>Image Grid it was possible to cause an error message if you right clicked or double clicked in an area of the form to the right of any cover art images or below any cover art images. This boundary condition is trapped and no error is generated.
• When the Discs Form is switched to Grid view and the option was set to display thumbnail images on the form, an error would occur when changing the current row. This condition is trapped and the error does not occur.
• When using the Rapid Entry Form “Error –2147217887 Title cannot be null” would occur when a user clicked the Add button when the Matching Reference Catalog Grid was empty. This condition is now trapped and a more appropriate explanation pops-up under this condition.
• When displaying images on the File>Discs Form and on Windows Me Windows 98, when using an overflow image folder (due to more than 32,000 images) an “Error –2147220850 File Open” would occur when an image was referenced to the overflow folder. The image load would fail and the image would not be updated. This issue would not occur on Windows 2000 and XP where a folder can store more than 32,000 files and there would not be a need for an overflow folder.
• When opening the File>Movies Form the toggle performers tool bar button could become disabled. The tool bar button is enabled when the form is opened to work around this issue.

NEW FEATURES & MODIFICATIONS:

General:

New help topics were written for the Image Grid and Semi Custom Image Report.

The setup was modified to add a new dynamic link library (imgXprint.dll) needed to support the image grid printing.

Image Grid Report:

A new report was added under View>Reports>Discs>Image Grid (4x4). This is the Blockbuster report that permits you to show the DVDs in your home theater like DVDs are displayed on the wall at Blockbuster. Cover art images are arranged in a grid of 4 images across and 4 images down for a total number of images per page of 16.

New Image Grid Report:

A new Image Grid Report was made to have 7 images across and 6 images down (7x6). The report is other wise similar to the (4x4) report.

New Image Grid Form:

A new form was added to provide an image grid. This form presents an array of cover art image. The size and number of the images displayed can be adjusted at run time. The covers displayed can be filtered based upon, classification, theme, publisher, director, performer, and type of disc. The form retains its setting when closed. A double click on an image will cause the “Discs Form” to track to the title. Right clicking an cover will paint the title, year release, and version on the image. The new form is opened under File>Image Grid. The capability to print the image grid was added as well as a print preview that indicates how the images will be arranged on the printed page. A page setup tab was added to manage the page setup and related printing issues. Printing settings are saved when a form is printed.

Custom Image Report:

A new report was added under View>Reports>Discs>Custom with Cover Art… This is a semi custom report that includes the front cover art and 9 report fields that can be customized to include fields of your choice. The location, font, and spacing of the fields is fixed.  The format of this report once modified is stored and can be invoked directly without the need to open the design form. Only one version of the report format can be saved.

Discs 5 per page with Images Report:

This report was redesigned to speed up the preview for large catalogs by streamlining the format event. There was some minor reformatting of the report.

About Form:

A label was added to the about form that displays the version of Access that is in use.

CHANGES TO THE REFERENCE CATALOG:  

Incremental reference updates DVDCAT105, DVDCAT106, DVDCAT107, DVDCAT108, and  DVDCAT109 were incorporated.
